I am not military per se but my parents were and I miss the military ways. My grandfather used to talk about his time like it was the best of his life. I remember walking by around a base and thinking this is amazing and no other place is great like my home. The people the places and I’m hoping to find that type of connection here. My father was a firefighter and my mother was a nurse/mechanic they taught me how special being on a military base is. Camaraderie of cooking out with everyone or just walking around.
