Hey everyone! My name is Derek. I am 6'5", yes that means I am very tall! I am currently serving in the United States Navy in Misawa, Japan. I am very proud to be serving our country and am very proud to be an American. I get a little choked up listening to the National Anthem and the song 'Proud to be an American' and am not ashamed of it. I love all kinds of sports. I am playing soccer and softball for the base right now. I also play basketball and football when that time comes. I love to be outdoors. Not big on people that think they are better than everyone else. We are all different and have different things to us that make us who we are. I love going out and partying but also love staying in and being with that special someone. I am a very sarcastic guy and love to laugh. I always have a smile on my face... well except in the morning, because im not a morning person. But other than that I love to try and make people laugh. My life is chaotic since I am in the military but I always manage to make time for all my friends. My faith is very important to me. God is the most important person in my life. The second most important people are my family. I love them all very much and miss them all. I would do anything for them. That's a lot about me right there.
